“Stop judging me!”

We are a culture steeped in judging others. We judge dress, tats, piercings, choice in foods and drink, parenting, styles of worship, denominations, and leaders of all sorts. News networks spend most of their time judging the news rather than just reporting it. We check Facebook or Instagram to compare ourselves with others. Perhaps it makes us feel better about ourselves (or worse). What does Scripture say about judging? Let’s take a closer look.

Looking forward to seeing you this weekend.

Student Ministry Director

Hiring Update

We are currently in the process of hiring a new Student Ministry Director here at CFC. Because we, as leadership, place a high value on this position, we are following a comprehensive hiring plan developed by a respected Christian hiring firm called Ministry Architects. At this point, we have compiled a 10-person search team and created the job description that fits with the needs of our growing church. The job has been posted; and the search team that is currently receiving and reviewing resumes. As of now, we have received more than 20 resumes - both local and out of state. We expect to continue receiving resumes through the month of July. If you personally know of someone who has experience in student ministry and may be interested in this position, please direct them to our church website at Communityfellowship.com. If they click on the "employment" tab at the bottom of the homepage, it will take them to a job summary and instructions on how to apply.

Student Ministry is still active during this process, thanks to Katlyn Cosentino and Travis Armstrong for stepping up and leading our CFC students while we search for someone to head up this ministry.

Men's Ministry Study - Theology of Human Sexuality

June 26, July 5 & 12, 7:30-9pm

All men are invited! The purpose of this study will be to gain a better scriptural understanding of how being made in the image of God includes our human sexuality. Each session will foster round table discussions, prayer and accountability for each other. On the last evening, CFC will help craft future steps for groups of men to continue supporting each other.

Refugee Focus Group Meeting

Wednesday, June 28 at 7pm

In January, Lancaster Online posted that Lancaster takes on 20 times more refugees per capita than the rest of the U.S.! God is sending people to us from countries that have historically been closed to missions. What is God calling us to do? We have assumption that CFCers are interested in this refugee situation. As a result, we want to invite you to be part of a focus group on Wednesday, June 28 at 7pm. Please come prepared to listen, pray, and share ideas on how we can best reach refugees here in our country.

Childcare is available but only by signing up on the Connection Card by June 25.

Senior High Spaghetti Dinner

July 8 & 9
